Patients and physicians have been waiting years for new treatment options like Increlex (mecasermin [rDNA origin] injection) to become available. Now that Tercica has introduced these products, we want to ensure that all the patients who need treatment get the maximum coverage and reimbursement that their health insurance carriers will allow. That's why we created TerciCareSM, a reimbursement advocacy program for Increlex to facilitate the exchange of information between patients and health insurance companies.
If you're a patient who has been prescribed Increlex and you want to enroll in TerciCare, the first step is to complete a Statement of Medical Necessity form with your physician and sign a Consent and Release form. Once you are enrolled, we'll assign you a personal case manager who will be available to answer your questions through a toll-free hotline: 1-866-TERCICA (1-866-837-2422), extension 3. If there is any delay in insurance coverage, your case manager may be able to arrange for Starter Care, a free patient starter kit that includes a 30-day dosage of the medication you need. Our goals: To ensure that you get the treatment you need without delay, and to keep you updated about insurance reimbursement at every step of the process.
